EndSwell supports the mental, emotional and physiological well-being of underserved groups via guided mindful journaling techniques and tools.
The problems of our time are complex. In order to develop the innovative solutions required of us and the personal stamina to see them through, we need supportive practices. The socio-economic barrier to most wellness modalities is prohibitive, but the simple act of putting pen to paper is a proven technology that’s available 24-7 with no or minimal cost barrier.
EndSwell offers life-affirming outlets for personal self-expression in the form of analog creativity, enabling individuals to tap the transformative, healing power of mindful writing.
PARTICIPANTS OF OUR PROGRAMS LEARN HOW TO USE A JOURNAL TO:
THE COLLECTIVE
EndSwell taps the AllSwell Academy Superconductors – a trained, international network of vetted journaling workshop facilitators – and pairs them with communities that will benefit tremendously from these activities. This is not a volunteer opportunity. EndsWell pays a dignified wage to those involved in our program as facilitators, enabling them to financially benefit from doing altruistic, meaningful, and creative work.
If you’re interested in becoming an accredited Superconductor, training takes place annually.
WAYS TO GET INVOLVED
- Become an accredited AllSwell Superconductor journaling workshop facilitator.
- Suggest your non-profit organization as an EndsWell program recipient.
- Fund a bespoke journaling workshop program or make a tax-deductible donation.
- Donate paper products, notebooks, pens, or pencils for use in EndsWell mindful journaling workshops.
DELIVERY & INTERACTIVITY
Guided journaling workshops will be delivered both in person and virtually (via Zoom), giving EndSwell the means to serve intimate groups and large-scale audiences.
At no point will participants be asked to share from their journal (though they are welcome to do so). However, these are designed as interactive experiences. In each workshop, there are multiple opportunities to contribute what the experience of a particular prompt was like for participants, how it felt, what they discovered, etc. The overall tone is one of inclusive support and creative permission.

EndsWell works with existing organizations that already serve the public, have trust and infrastructure within their communities across verticals, aligning with AllSwell’s existing workshop content and experience, including:
Additionally, the curriculum will periodically be developed or modified by Superconductors. These workshops will be unique reflections of their personal life experiences, providing authentic connections with new communities. This is the “ripple effect” in action, bringing mindful journaling into diverse cultural pockets on a peer-to-peer basis.
TOOLS
EndsWell Collective will provide blank notebooks, pens and pencils as appropriate.
Please note, we are always on the lookout for donated surplus / deadstock / overstock pens, pencils and notebooks from third parties.

BACKGROUND
Over more than a decade, journaling expert and founder of AllSwell Creative Laura L. Rubin (author of, The Big Unlock - Liberate Your Creativity Through Mindful Journaling, to be published by Simon & Schuster on March 31sr, 2026) has led hundreds of mindful writing workshops for diverse groups – including wounded special forces veterans, formerly incarcerated young adults, at-risk youth, adult women undergoing cancer treatments, and those navigating the loss of loved ones. In the process, she has developed an approach to journaling that amplifies the positive effects of opening a notebook while removing barriers that often keep us from the page.
